First incorporated on May 6, 1996 as Malsy Essential Security Services, the name of the company was changed to CrownHawk Express Security Ltd in 2009, with Sqn Ldr (Sir) MN Njoku (rtd), as its President and Chairman of the Board of Directors. As Malsy Essential Security Services in 1996, the company was then a major security provider to HFP Engineering Company, Ferrostal A.G Nigeria Limited and Aluminium Smelting Company of Nigeria (ALSCON), Ikot Abasi.
